Textured Sunset

Hello all!  Here I am, back with more nail art - and I have to say, it's nice having time in the summer where I can paint both my hands and not just my left hand!  During the semester, I would usually only paint my left hand so that I could still do homework with my right hand and not have my blogging lifestyle be a hindrance to my academics.  But that lifestyle is on hiatus for now.

Here's the design I came up with today:

I'm so happy with this set of nails - I was out all day today, and I couldn't stop staring at them!  Just look at how crisp those lines are...DAZZLING.  MM.

Read on to find out how I painted these nails! :)
I was trying to determine if the gradient reminds me more of a sunset or a sunrise...I really can't tell anymore.  Both are equally beautiful, and share many of the same color palette.  So really, it could be both.

For this manicure:

I started with a coat of Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat by Sally Hansen.  For my thumb and pinky fingers, I applied one coat of Saaya by Julep.  For my pointer and ring fingers, I applied one coat of Saaya by Julep, but only to half of the nail.  For my middle finger, I applied two coats of Tracy by Julep.  The gradient was done using Saaya by Julep and Laree by Julep.  After the half-nail gradients dried, I applied striping tape and painted on the other half of my nail with one generous coat of Tracy by Julep, and then immediately removed the tape to get a clean line.  After a little bit of clean up, I finished with a coat of Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat by Sally Hansen.

Approximate Completion Time: 1.5 hours

I actually never want to remove this nail polish.  It's so aesthetically wonderful.  But, seeing as how this is a nail art blog, I will have to take it off on one very unfortunate day...but that's okay, because then I get to fill my nails with more wonderful nail art! :)

Because I'm so in love with this specific design, I actually don't know when the next post will be up...haha.  My heart is so swayed by the contrasting colors and textures.  I just can't get myself to remove this.  But regardless, thank you for reading this post today!  I hope you have a wonderful day, and I will see you in my next post! :D
