Dangling Flowers

Hello all!  I hope you are all doing well :)

My school semester is slowly coming to an end...which is great, because after that I get to go home and see my family and come back to do research, but also not great because it also means finals are coming up and I'm not ready for that commitment.  That said, my motivation to do things is also lacking.  That can't be good.

Anyways, here are my nails:

They're very loosely inspired by some flowers I found outside of the chemistry building at my school.  The building has terrible memories of organic chemistry, but at least the flowers look nice.  This is what they look like:

Read more about this manicure after the jump! :)
So I realize now that my proportions are wrong.  Please forgive me.

For this manicure:

I started with a coat of Base Coat by Finger Paints on all my nails.  I painted two coats of Tribeca Silver by NYC.  For the stems/vines, I used a base of Snow Me White by Sinful Colors, and then went over them with Happy Ending by Sinful Colors.  The pink on the flowers was attained by mixing together Penelope by Julep, mademoiselle by essie, Snow Me White by Sinful Colors, and Ruby Ruby by Sinful Colors.  The pink was dotted onto my nails using a large dotting tool and a smaller dotting tool.  I added dots of Unpredictable by China Glaze onto the opposite corner, and I sealed the design with a coat of Matte Me Crazy by NYC.

Approximate Completion Time: 2 hours

For whatever reason, I don't own a good, solid pink.  I have darker pink polishes, paler pink polishes, and hot pink, but no true pink.  It makes me confused, as my closet is very pink, but how the heck am I missing such a vital color in my nail polish collection?  Weird...

The thing about nail art is that white and black polishes need to be replaced often, as those colors will be used up often.  On that note, I should buy my replacements soon.

I hope you guys enjoyed this nail art design!  I promise next week's will be...more...entertaining.  Yeah.  Just stay tuned :)
